Hunting Club Rules Template

A ready-to-use set of hunting club rules covering safety, check-in, stands, guests, harvest, vehicles, and violations. Add your club name and limits, then print it for every member to sign.

Sample only — not legal advice. Laws on hunting leases, liability waivers, and landowner liability (including recreational use statutes) vary by state. Have a licensed attorney in your state review any agreement before you rely on it.

Optional. The document below updates as you type. Anything left empty prints as a blank line to fill in by hand. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Why written club rules matter

Unwritten rules are the most common source of arguments in a hunting club: who gets which stand, how many guests a member can bring, and what happens when someone breaks a game law. Written rules that every member signs settle those questions before they turn into disputes, and they show your landowner that the club takes safety seriously.

Rules most clubs add

  • Antler or doe limits beyond state law, if the club manages for older bucks.
  • Stand rotation so the best stands are shared fairly.
  • Trail camera etiquette, such as not checking cameras in someone else's area.
  • Youth hunter rules for supervised minors.
  • Work day requirements and what happens if a member misses them.

Pair your rules with bylaws for how the club is governed, a liability waiver, and a sign-in sheet.

Publish your rules and track who signed

In Easy Lease, members acknowledge the club rules from their phone, and you can log violations with photos and resolution status. Real-time check-ins show who is on the property and in which stand.
